Three days of entries on another Partridge Family design. I enjoy colors like the next guy; my own site is multi-colored. But, the Partridge Family is wearing me out.

Once again, I was denied the “about” page. This is so undervalued in the blogging community, as it is turning out to me. Tonight alone, we’re three for three in not finding a single “about” page.

Now, from what I did read, the author writes well, has some interesting experiences she shares with the world, and is a fellow Drew Carey fan. You’ve GOTTA like a Drew Carey fan. Unfortunately, I was unable to get into the archives, as it was either too difficult for this Software Engineer to figure out, or was not quite intuitive enough. This, to me, made me feel like I was missing out. I don’t want to have to keep coming back to a site over a period of time to decide if I want to come back tomorrow, or even later. I want the benefit of archives, and I want to be able to see past entries. This detracted from the experience for me, an experience I would otherwise probably be raving about.

The site holds much promise. The writing is solid, witty, engaging, and just plain fun. The account of the “tongue piercing” is funny as heck; those of us that have gone through this can not only empathize, but also see the humor in her writing about it.

Fair design, good content, but poor navigation makes this site one I would recommend for those that will take the time to invest in finding out if this blog is one for them.

My first impression was of the Partridge Family bus with those colored boxes all over it due to the frame around the left and top. Once I got past my first impression, I found a single mom with a lot of heart, much to say, and a point of view that might do many good to read.

I was unable to find out anything about the author, as there was no link to an “about” page, or anything of the sort. While it’s not altogether necessary, I like to know at least a little about the author whose words I’ll be digesting.

The layout is very straightforward; there are no surprises there. The content is good, really good. The writing style is easy to read, easy to understand, and depending on how much is going on in her life, either short and to the point, or detailed and flowing with descriptive writing that would make any fellow blogger proud.

Some personal moments and some insight into her point of view; her take on Shallow Hal has got to be one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. That alone is a great reason to check out this blog.

While not the most appealing visually, it rates well intellectually, and that’s what really makes all the difference.

How could I not like a blog by a fellow Bjork fan?

My first impression of the site was good; there is lots of color, in the text and in the design. It feels contemporary and alive. My only major complaint comes in that I was unable to view the “about” section of Zootgirl, to find out something about her. But, I got past that, and onto the content.

The writing style is easy enough to read, although the quoting was a bit much for my personal taste. The accounts of her weekends were interesting enough, and short enough as to not be boring, yet long enough to paint a complete picture. Her telling of the IKEA furniture arrival and assembly was well written, and amusing. I think many of us can recall the days of our own bouts with “Assembly Required” furniture to be able to relate.

There’s nothing too personal revealed here that I saw, but it’s enough of a glimpse to be interesting, and to keep the masses coming back to find out what’s happening next.

Good design, good content, and a solid base. For adults, although I saw nothing that would make this site off-limits to younger adults.

This weblog was a thoroughly enjoyable read. His entries are easy to read and varied — how he feels about his new girlfriend and ex-girlfriend, movies, current events, finding long lost classmates. He writes with feeling, a great sense of humor and just the right amount of anger in some cases (if there is such as thing as the “right amount”). My only criticism about the entries is that he doesn’t update very often. His last post is dated Oct. 31.

His layout is plain and simple, which is a good fit with his writing style. The site is also very easy to navigate.

Other areas of the site include a section where he posts song lyrics, quotes from books and other tidbits and another that has photos of Thailand and Singapore, which are awesome.

Although there’s nothing overly extraordinary about this weblog, it’s always a pleasure to read something that’s well-written by someone who has something to say.blackcoffee

Very nice site design! Called “Rhythm Red”, but no red anywhere, just some really good graphics.

The blog itself is by a quite precocious 14 year old female. Her writing style is very good, interesting entries with a quote and what she’s listening to noted, and the external links are to others like her.

I especially liked the vision of the turkey being thrown at her over her grades. I didn’t like the small font, it’s hard to read.

This is a site to watch as this young lady matures. A very well written blog with eye candy too.Rhythm Red
