Out of Phase is a bare-bones
weblog with posts that range from
not-so interesting to rather
informative. Based on a Blogger
template, the looks of the site were
rather unoriginal, but there is
something to be said for simplicity.
I have to give the guy credit for the
effort he puts into writing his weblog
entries. He is willing to say what is
on his mind, which is always better
than attempts at writing for the sake
of writing. Most of his entries were
about his friends and the path his life
was taking. As a musician, I was
able to identify with his writings about
equipment and what not.
The only link the site offered was to
the radio station for which the author
worked. No bio, pics, or anything
else, except for the obligatory link to
Blogger.
Nothing special or out of the ordinary
about Out of Phase, but nothing very
horrible either.out of phase

Udaho was what seemed to be a group weblog run by six or seven people. Thickly coated with teen pop culture lingo, imagery and style, the site was thin in content and considered itself funnier than I found it to be.
I was unenthused about the rude judgements in the Top Ten Ugliest Cam Chicks post, and never found myself laughing at any of the other weblog entries. Trying to figure out what other content was available for viewing only frustrated me as I was led to ambiguous javascript popups with pictures of the site administrators and logs of chat transcripts that didn’t interest me.
Udaho seemed to be a clique of people who post to this site with no intention of making something anyone outside of their circle would be interested in.
The layout was rather well done, and it actually made sense. However, being primarily orange in color was distracting. The archives (also in a popup window) didn’t work at all, so I was left looking at the main page.
Perhaps this site could benefit from some refining and refocusing. I sensed some potential for creating a good site, but the collaborators didn’t seem to all have their heads pointed in the same direction.

I checked out this site after seeing it featured as the “Site of the Week” here on The Weblog Review. Honestly, my first thought was “What am I missing?” The site seemed to have gotten rave reviews about the graphics, yet all I could see were four blurry images across the top. I opened up a different browser (Netscape) to see if I was perhaps not getting it all in this one (IE). Alas, Netscape would not display the page at all.
So I started reading the weblog, and was not grabbed by anything interesting. It was not poorly written or necessarily bad, but there was no content that hooked me or got my attention. Then I realized that there were only four log entries, and no links to other content on the site.
I would like to hope that the page was experiencing some technical difficulties and that I was not seeing everything. One weblog entry did mention something about a server crashing.
I will check back another time to see if I am wrong about this site, and I will ammend this review if need be.xfinity.net

“through myself” is a decent weblog doing all the right things a weblog should. The design of the site was nice, though a little narrow spacially. I had some trouble deciphering the links in the image map at the top of the page, but that was perhaps a result of my monitor.
The weblog entries were generally thoughtful and well written. Nothing really hooked me, but I was able to at least “get an inkling of what life is like” through the author’s eyes, as the statement under “Shiznit” suggests is one of her goals.
I was a little unsure of the difference between her weblog and her “lately” page, which seemed to contain more interesting comments. Also, I was misled by what appeared to be graphical buttons in the image at the top of each page.
The author is obviously experienced enough in weblog writing and site design to know what makes a weblog bad, and she avoids it well. I was happy to see her commenting on the fact that she has grown out of her stage of “KooL” spelling.
It’s worth a look.through myself

Let me start by saying, what expectations can you have when you go to a site named “what logic?” Probably you expect something slightly far out and illogical.
Well these two are the exception; their site is very down to earth and true. Although some of the posts make you think, “golly-gee-I-really-wanted-to-know-that,” most of them are humorous and/or fun to read. Brian and Jack, the two loggers seem to be very down to earth and I like that in a person. Right now there is only ten or so logs but this seems like a really good up and coming site.
This site is probably the first site that made a red color-scheme look good. His layout is great; he did not overcrowd the main page with links and other junk, but instead put it on another page. This makes the front page easy for the eyes to look at.
This would definitely be a 5-point site if they would make the logs more in depth, but so far it looks great.
