To classify this site as a news site just doesn’t give it enough credit. Most news sites post just stuff that is on cnn or on their daily news. This site goes above and beyond that. They post about wrestling, sports, news, videogames, everything that is news worthy.

When the page was loading, I caught the title before the page loaded and of course it had one of my favorite quotes from wrestling in it. And then, the logo had one of my favorite wrestlers. Ok the site is not just about wrestling, but it is a section which I could relate to the most.

The news is reported with an edge, and short. It is to the point and has a slight opinion on some things. Even though they state that it is expressed with an opinion, for the most part it isn’t. I would like to see some more in-depth opinions on the news, but that is ok.

I get to the site and what do I see, but a quote saying that this site is about the life of an ex-computer hacker. Little later it says he is only 16. So now I am thinking he might be writing about old hacking stuff that he did, what not. Nope. It’s about his life.

Every post is almost a “Today I did this, this, and this… Oh yeah, I also did this.” Not to interesting, but there are some good posts there.

I went back to the archives, which only started about three weeks before this review, and in the second post he says he is going to submit his site here. Thankfully for him, there is a big backlog and it took a while. Had I reviewed it then, I would have had nothing to say about it.

The site is real easy to read which is a good thing. I also like the design of the site, which is again, real easy.

The only thing I would change, well I should say add, is a links section. The site has a lot of potential to become a site to read in the future. I really hope that he sticks with it and writes for a long time. I know that it will grow with him and be something for everyone.

This was the first non-personal weblog I have reviewed. It was definitely a new challenge. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I was looking at, but it turned out to be an informational site for people in the Phillipines regarding Internet law, news, and technology.

The website is run by Marvin Aceron, a lawyer in the Phillipines who seems to be “for the people”. With political weblog entries, such as a call for boycotting the two telephone companies, he appears to be making a statement. People in the Phillipines may find this to be a very useful site, as it contains a lot of pertinent information for anyone needing to know about their rights, the law, and legal council.

The design of the site is a little unorthodox for what you might expect out of a “news” site; not necessarliy a bad thing, but it threw me at first. I wish there had been a little more up-front information about the site to clue me in as to what it was about without having to dig so deep. I would certainly recommend the site to anyone in the Phillipines, and to anyone else who might be interested in a glipmse into things you would normally never think about. What’s new at MBAceron.com

The World According To Carp is a great site. The thing that first caught my attention was the title. For those of you that don’t know, it is a play on the title to a book by John Irving called The World According To Garp. The site has a great layout everything is in great order. All her links work. I am not sure what I think of the color scheme at the top, but that is just a minor problem. Everything Miss Carp has to say is witty, intelligent, and entertaining. Also imagine my surprise to find that she is a X-Men fan. I cannot say much more about this site except go and see it for yourself. It is a terrific site, and I am glad I got to review it. the world according to carp

The design of “second truth from the left” is fantastic, really. I like the colors, and even though I’m such an anti-frames person, this is a really, really sharp use of framesets.

The writing was interesting, albeit a tad juvenile. The author is 17, so I don’t suppose there’s going to be much for foreign political commentary, but the content focuses a great deal on standard teenage joy and angst.

I would guess than anyone older than 23 or so would be bored quickly, but the teenage crowd would probably dig this blog a great deal.the second truth from the left
