Doctorgrosz.com is the weblog of an up and coming band (El Conquistadors), and follows the exploits of the band members in their personal lives and careers.
Is this just an attempt to bring Internet celebrity to another group of rock wannabees, or is it an honest account of the music industry, as seen by a group of wide-eyed hopefuls?
Well, it could go either way. The posts are well written and insightful, and they only occasionally spill over into “look at me! I have a band!” territory. It’s useful to have a sense of balance in a noncommercial weblog when you have commercial interests to push.
Music aside, there is a lot of content here, and it’s all easy to navigate and wrapped up in a sumptuous interface, right-hand aligned which is uncommon in all websites.
All in all this site makes for an enjoyable read, if perhaps a little on the adult side (no nudity as far as I could tell, but a fair smattering of expletives). Still, there’s plenty here to keep you entertained.doctorgrosz dot com

Obviously someone thinks this must be funny… Every page I have reviewed today has had a splash page! I really hate splash pages. There is no purpose for them unless you make a flash page and a non-flash page. This page has neither and thus does not need a splash page.
I enter the site and I see two iframes. Which is really a cool idea. Definitely liking the design of the site. But there is one flaw, no logo. Every site needs a logo. Without one, it hurts.
The weblog entries are about teen stuff. A teen venting to the world her teen stuff. Some good jokes here and there, but mostly personal stuff.
I had a hard time relating to the material at hand. That is probably because I am a male and in my twenties. Maybe if I was a female in my teens I could understand more of it. I am telling you, it is written in teen female, which is the hardest language to learn. So if you think you can relate go check it out.

The title of this site threw me, and I’m still not sure why it is called by that name. I was unable to find out much information; the only link other than the guestbook did not work. It was supposed to go to the author’s “other site”.
The weblog was quite standard, with relatively inane and boring entries of a personal nature. Not sure why one would be interested in the author’s cousin’s dentist appointment, for example. A few posts were mildly entertaining, but most were random, fleeting thoughts.
The site did look sharp and was put together well with a simple, modern look. For some reason, the bright green background didn’t really bother me. The header was a clever image.
This one could be worth another look sometime, given enough time for some content to be added to the weblog entries and the link to the other page to be fixed.Umm…would you go to bed with me?

Honest truth: I spent over an hour going through this site. What? I don’t spend an hour on all the sites? Probably not. But this one got my time, which I didn’t realize had passed so quickly.
The first page of the weblog is all of Sneaker’s weblogs on one page. It is ust an entry here or an entry there. The most recent is what is on this page. Of course, I read that entire page.
So I started down the links on the left of the site. About the site and about sneaker were both excellent reads. Of course, they have a one time only readability, as they aren’t really the weblog. The about sneaker is really good, and you get a feel for who he is. (To quote him, “Yes sneaker is a person”)
I get to the writings section and we of course are now at the weblog itself. All the entries one could imagine. Sneaker stated that it used to be a very personal site. But that created conflict with business. After all who is the judge of personal vs. professional if it is on the internet? So then there is this version. He doesn’t write about stupid boring stuff that most personal weblogs have. Instead he writes about things to make us think. His post on “Does the internet make us narrow minded” “The Grass is always greener” and “Solving problems” are all great entries. They all made me think about things relative to me.
Of course there is also his quote weblog that I found to be very funny. Some of the quotes could be used in everyday life, most however would be good for when you are just sitting around with friends telling jokes.
On the design part of the site, it is really good. Little explanations for each of the links is really nice. Two minor things that I didn’t like, but the rest of the site made up for. 1. Splash page! I know, he is using shtml so he has to have an auto refresh page, but just do it. Don’t make it a splash page. 2. Because of all of the includes some of the pages are slow to load up. Of course this could also be because he writes so much and the entries are just big.
The site was completely original in my opinion. The author took an approach I have not seen before in weblogs: to make you think. Go read this site, as it deserves to be read by everyone.

The Sideshow is a great blog.
First of all the layout is good. The colours don’t make anything hard to see and its all very pleasant on the eye.
The blog is updated daily and it would appear only once daily.
But don’t worry. When it is updated you get a lot of text.
The main content seems to be music and its all very interesting reading.
Id definitely recommend this blog to anyone after a interesting daily blog.
