Upon first glance, Kadomu appears to be a simple weblog with links and commentary on interesting gift ideas. As it turns out, it is exactly that. The site gives a little bit of information about each item, as well as a price and link to purchase it.

The site itself is attractive, using a fairly basic WordPress setup. Previous items may be found in any one of several categories listed in the sidebar.

Reading through the entries about the various gifts, I began to believe that English may not be the author’s first language (an assumption that is strengthened by the Indonesian name of the weblog). The descriptions of each item are usually short and occasionally difficult to understand. While the descriptions themselves may not be incredibly interesting, the gift ideas range from mildly amusing to remarkably strange.

While the author should be given credit for taking the time to locate and point out all of these gifts, there really is not much substance beyond that. The idea of this weblog is good, but the execution is just not there. NULL

I don’t often review adult blogs, not because I’m a prude but because most of the ones I’ve visited seem to mock each other in style and content. This blog, authored by Julia didn’t change my opinion.

The author offers very little information about herself other than she likes sex and this is her space to express herself. The template has a catchy header, colorful and does get your attention but the rest of the template is pretty basic which actually works pretty well for this particular blog.

There are not many posts because this is a fairly new blog but from what I did read I thought the author didn’t quite live up to the description she gave under her profile. Although sexual technique can be interesting, I didn’t find much interest in it and probably can assume most other readers would lose interest pretty quickly. If the author provided more actual recaps of personal events of sexual escapades that might help capture and keep the interest of her audience.

There were not many extras on this site, a few links but that was about it. The blog was pretty basic and there really wasn’t much to keep me coming back for more and that’s why I give this blog a rating of 2.5.NULL

This weblog introduces itself as “Just another weblog about unique and unusual gifts”. The geek in me was instantly excited about reading and reviewing this site.

The first post I read was, well, scary. It talks about giving a blog as a gift. Personally, I cannot figure out what to get my dad for Christmas. The thought of him with a blog is what scares me! It is actually a fun post and a great way to get this site up and running.

If it were not five days until my family celebrates the holiday season, there are several things linked on this site that I may have ended up buying. From remote control tarantulas to a pocketknife for women, there is something unique and different here for everyone. There were several times when I got distracted from the site itself after following the links to other sites the author provides.

The site uses WordPress as its blogging tool of choice. The design is a slightly modified template, but it has changed enough to not scream PREPACKAGED DESIGN to the average reader. The posts are neatly written in black text on a white background, often with pictures of the particular gadget/gift featured in the post. It is very simple to navigate and find exactly what you are looking for when browsing through this site. The about section explains where the name of the site – Kadomu – comes from. Along the sidebar, there is even a place for readers to suggest links.

The entries are not only listed by date, but also by category. If you are in a hurry and need a gift idea that is only going to be suitable for a kid, this is a great tool to have.

Kadomu has only been around for a month, which is all too unfortunate. I have bookmarked this site, though, because I am always on the hunt for a unique gift and this is just the place to find one for me.

The “About Kadomu” portion of the site says: “We love to spend our time to search for nice things in the internet and share it with you”. I love that they do this, too. In addition, quite honestly, I think any true geek will love it just as much.

I hate going to the doctor. It’s not a fear that keeps me from going, it’s that I’m too busy to take time out of my day to sit in a waiting room for 982 hours just to be diagnosed with a common cold. I’d much rather take care of it on my own, if only I had the knowledge. “Know More About Homeopathy” certainly piqued my interest and I was excited to see what I could learn.

This weblog, like many others, is still in its infancy. The first post was published on December 11th of this year and gives a thorough explanation of what Homeopathy is for those people that are not aware of exactly what they’re reading. The rest of the posts follow in a similar manner by just relaying information about homeopathy and the history behind it.

The archives on this site run three days – December 11th, 12th, and 13th. While the site is informative in those three days worth of postings, it is nearly impossible to get a solid idea on how the site will develop as times continues. It’s been over a week since the author’s last post, so already consistency has become a problem with this weblog.

A standard Blogger template is used for the design of the site. There’s nothing special about it. The insipidness of the design matches with the text that seems to come straight out of a textbook.

I cannot justifiably rank this site very high, simply because there is not much to the site. It’s fact-oriented and I’m sure the facts are correct. But it’s something that can be found in a textbook or on any other Homeopathy-related website. For it to get a higher rating, the site needs some originality and some consistency… and some more posts.

Its a joy to visit a blogger website for someone with enough CSS knowledge (or help) to remove the blogger frame from the top. Instantly the design appeals to me at the “Dee411” blog, with a clean layout and complimentary tones, the page is offset by the striking drawn image of three African women.

It’s been about a week since the the last post when I read the site, but reading further I realize our main author, Dee S White, is taking part in the NaNoWriMo project, where budding authors race to write 50,000 words with emphasis on quantity, not quality. For a personal blog though, Dee411 certainly has a touch of quality. As a writer, she is a natural, and her words and sentence structure are well chosen and fluent.

That said, a major theme that runs throughout the site is Dee’s piety and the site even includes a “mission statement” about “getting the word out” about the big JC, which is all well and good if you are jumping on that particular spiritual path and want another bookmark to add to the 81,200,000 other sites vying for your dogmatic patronage. For the rest of us, you have to read between the posts, and there are some great thoughts and issues raised in here.

Dee411 reminds me of a woman I know, strong and searching. She has talent and soul and resigns all of this to a greater power and modestly makes her way. D.S.White has built the blog with love and it shows. She pours her heart into her writing and succeeds effortlessly. I read somewhere “Its not God I don’t like, it’s his fan club.”, and I only wish there were more fans like Dee. All the talent and inspiration in the world can’t make up for a theme you can’t appreciate though, so I can’t recommend this blog overall. An easy read otherwise. NULL
