This Girl’s Blog, as it is called, it the most awesome blog I have reviewed so far! I look at design, content and blogging quality when I review, and this has many more plusses than minuses.

The first thing I noticed when I visited the site was the layout. It is simple and complicated at the same time, which makes it quite interesting. The HTML may be somewhat simple, but she makes the graphics, and they are superb! Then I read the posts on the front page. This girl is totally unique. The title or topic of each post is a song she is currently addicted to. I find it cool because I can open up Aimster and see what she likes. After reading her great and funny posts on the index page, I checked for an archive. This is the first site that I reviewed that had an archive! As I suspected, all the posts were of fantastic quality. This girl is a great writer. As I scanned the site for content, I was surprised to find lots of it, along with a cam! She is also a great poet, which one can tell from the Poetry section. She knows her options in the Beliefs section, and opened my eyes to topics I never gave much thought to. The last section I checked out was the Random section, where I saw that she is a very comical person. She tells of her ups and downs in life in a humorous way. All these things wrap together in the greatest package I’ve seen so far.

I am a hard person to please, it is true. This site would have received the 5.0 rating if the Music and Current links were not broken. I do not blame the blog creator, though, because I have done the same often. If you have a spare minute, or hour, I say this is the site that you should visit. I know it’s one of my dailies from now on!

When first entering the site one doesn’t know what to expect. With the name of Tha B_List, I was expecting some list thing, but I don’t know what. From what I got out of reading the site, it is merely just a reference to “B” lists like B movies, or B actors, or B musicians. Not quite the top of the game. With that figured out, I was prepared to have a good time here.

That is what I did have too. A lot of the posts are very funny, as the author has a very good sense of humor. There is an occasional serious post, but that doesn’t deter from the site at all.

My personal favorite post of his was the mock interview with Usama Bin Laden. In a time of mass-news media he was able to make light of the current situation.

The design of the site is just a template. Nothing too fancy, but then it is a template. Some of the pictures were not loading correctly, but they were not needed to enjoy the site. There are some other minor problems, but nothing too major.

Overall if you want a good laugh, you should go check out this site. I spent a good hour or so just reading movie reviews and interviews. Very good time can be had at this site.

I started to review this site a few days ago, but Jordan was still working on a layout. Today, when I checked in, all was well with the layout, so I proceeded with my review.

And the new layout, in my opinion, works quite well. It’s simple, not at all distracting, and the colors on the main banner and throughout the weblog page worked very well together.

This is your simple, everyday weblog. Jordan updates several times a day. The posts are all relatively short, which makes them easy to read. Even though they’re brief, you can definitely get a good laugh out of some of them.

My favorite posts were the ones in July 2001, where Jordan sometimes featured conversations between an image of Jesus and an image of a cell phone ad model. They were absolutely goofy, and made me giggle each time I saw either of the images in any of the rest of the posts.

Jordan’s one of those most faithful webloggers I’ve seen in a long time – posting throughout the day, and not keeping anyone in suspense as to how her day’s going or what she’s thinking.

I really liked this site for a good chuckle! 🙂patrick swayze super mullet

My first impression was that the author of this site had some new, exciting thing to talk about. There seemed to be a sense of urgency in the opening paragraph. Something about a book he had written; something about the frenzy surrounding it. Digging into the site, I was left dissatisfied.

The foreward to the weblog section of the site states that “opinion is nonexistent”, as if the author doesn’t care what you have to say about the site since it is not valid. This struck me as a disclaimer, really meaning “my site sucks, but what you have to say about it doesn’t matter”. I wondered why the site was submitted for review…

The weblog entries turned out to be composed of random quotes, short blurbs, and over-used conglomerations of expensive words that made me wonder if the author had a Thesaurus fetish.

Design-wise, the site was about as basic as you can get, with right-justified text being the only abnormal thing. Not visually stimulating, but not annoying either.

I never really figured out the motivation behind this site, but perhaps that was the point. Whatever the case, I was not struck with the fancy to come back later. Perhaps those that are familiar with the author or what he does would be interested, but I decided to move on.

If you’re looking for a site loaded with information about the internet and the culture surrounding it, .netculture definitely has exactly that.

The creators of the site describe it as “A site were everyone can upload their work and ideas. It is an e-zine that is ultimately built by its users”, and I can’t come up with a better description.

The site is very well laid out, and generally easy to navigate. It’s also a very extensive site.

The writing is very well done on this site. The different articles aren’t necessarily geared towards the general public, but those with even a slight understanding of the internet culture as a whole will find the articles informative as well as educational.

I felt like maybe the archives section could have been easier to navigate through, perhaps through a dated system, but overall the site was all-around excellent.
