This girl has a good site. Updates are really often which is always a nice thing. The site itself is designed really nice and clean which I liked. She decided that she wants to do her own ratings and what not have you. She gives all people fruit. This is very original, and she is definitely making fun of the to quote her “Any 13 year old with Photoshop award”. Good site with ease of use.Jocelyn’s Page

Well while going through the site I found two mentions of the weblog review. The first one said that he was waiting for his review and the second one said:

i signed up for this weblog review today, so i better get some type of a good one or i will hunt down the little fucker and well…..um…..thank him?



So the dilemma has begun. Do I or do I not give this guy a good review. Do I give him a good ranking? What to do…



Lets start with the design. There is this site that I reviewed not too long ago called ackpth that looks very similar in design. both sites just use black and white and gray. I do like the two column layout of this site better than just the one column layout.



Next we have the posts. First post I read I did not like. Then I started reading the achieves (where I found the mentions of this site) and I read a post that I really liked. He said:

i know some of you are going to stop linking me after reading this, and thats fine. i expected that.

to which I just kept on reading. That one line caught my attention and made me want to figure out if there were any other posts that I might want to not link him for.



Overall a really good site with content that is meaningful. He doesn’t care if he pisses you off in the process of his posts because he realizes they are his posts.



So I guess now comes the part were I decide what to give him for a ranking. The review is a good one, but should I give him a bad ranking just to throw a curve ball and make him think I didn’t enjoy the site? Nope. Cause I did enjoy reading the site and I hope you will too.aphony

In a lot of my reviews I talk about sites that look simple. They carry a simple colour scheme, the navigation is simple, and the layout is simple. That’s because, generally, it works.



However, to make something look simple and yet still work takes a lot of effort and skill, and time. I don’t think that enough of these have been invested in this site yet to warrant a daily visit.



The blog itself, though indepth and mildly interesting, is not entertaining. The author has put a lot of effort into these posts, but usually comes across as a little aggressive and unhappy, which is not what we came online for.



Design wise, this site isn’t minimalist or anything smart like that. The colour scheme needs work, and the navigation simply doesn’t make sense. Despite only having a couple of sections, it is rarely obvious how it is you get back to the blog.



Maybe one day this site will be worth a visit, but for now it reads like too much work. There are better sites out there deserving of your attention.Bittersweet Retreat

this site grows on you, slowly but surely I found my self more and more interested. The author of this site is able to give you the feeling that you know him and he gives you a little piece of him to scrutinize. the design grows on you as well, it “keeps it real” and dosn’t try to cram a bunch of stuff in knowing it can’t fit, the site’s quirky examples of life, and funny comments kept me enraptured while I got to know this person as best I could, I am frustrated that this delightful internet personality dosn’t have more than a weblog , but all in all a great siteKrazyKanadian

this site is mostly a collection unfortunetly it’s not well orginized. the thoughts of the writer are strewn across the internet highway like weblog roadkill, and the swearing gets in the way of poingent remarks, the site’s about page really dosn’t tell you anythign about the person who is behind capovision. it seems too much in my view l posturing , saying things just to look smart.Luckily sometimes those remarks hit home, the design goes well with the site and I like it/it still seems to cryptic and disorginized to really appreciate but if the author spent more time on this site then I really feel it could be great, but for now it just has potential to be a good sight.capovision
